College expenses can be pretty clear, but there are some hidden costs beyond tuition and room and board.

You should have a plan for costs other than things like tuition, textbooks and dorm setup.

For example, make sure to budget for extra-curricular activities like sports and, especially, fraternities and sororities.

There may also be things like insurance plans, but it could be cheaper to stick with mom and dad’s plan.
