(Senatobia, MS) Family and friends are remembering the lives of a mother and daughter killed in a crash involving a Memphis police car.

Deloise Epps and her 13-year-old daughter Mackayla were killed last Sunday when the police cruiser slammed into their vehicle in South Memphis.

A funeral was held Saturday in Senatobia, MS.

The officer involved says he was on his way to help a fellow officer.

He did not use a siren or police lights.

He is suspended with pay during the investigation.
