(Memphis) A gas line was cut by the city’s sewer department at a construction site near Poplar at Mendenhall.
MLGW Gas Distribution crews are on-site. Gas to the area has been cut off.
All six lanes of traffic on Poplar from Medenhall to Truse were blocked and Memphis police detoured traffic.
All lanes of traffic are now open.
Police had to detour traffic for a while, since the eastbound and westbound lanes were briefly closed.
Memphis Fire is also at the scene.
