MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — General Mills is searching for the next Trix rabbit in a nationwide casting call.
What does a casting call for a rabbit look like?
So glad you asked.
On their blog, the company told cereal lovers not to worry, everyone’s favorite animated rabbit wouldn’t be going anywhere.
It’s just a fun campaign to introduce the public to the company’s new commitment to remove artificial flavors and colors from their cereals.
“We hope consumers can appreciate and celebrate what we’re doing by removing artificial flavors and colors from artificial sources, because ultimately we’re making this change for them,” said Steve Bruch, associate marketing manager, Cereal. “They’ve been asking for these improvements on our product and we feel like we cracked the code to still make fun, vibrant colors. So this contest is a great way to celebrate the Trix Rabbit, and the milestone that by January 2016, Trix and 75 percent of our Big G cereals will be free of artificial flavors and colors from artificial sources.”
The contest will run for the next three weeks, so there is still plenty of time to get your long eared friend, or any other pet with bunny ears on, involved.
All you have to do is take a creative picture of your friend and then upload it to Twitter using the hashtag #RealTrixRabbit.
The pictures will be judged on creativity and cuteness.
The deadline for submissions is November 8, 2015.
