Hall County, GA. — A 9 year-old girl is being called a hero after saving the lives of her three younger siblings during a fire at their home in Hall County on Friday.

The fire started at the family’s home in the Highland Mobile Home Park off Athens Road in Hall County.

The 9 year-old, who was left to care for her siblings, awoke to find the home filled with smoke.

She first rescued her 1 year-old brother and 3 year-old sister and took them to a neighbor’s home.

She then ran back into the burning home and rescued her 5 year-old brother.

The neighbors called 911 and alerted emergency officials to the situation.

When fire crews arrived on scene, they found the mobile home fully engulfed.

All four children were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, where all were treated for smoke inhalation.

All have since been released.

The boyfriend of the mother of the children, 38 year-old Gregorio Garcia-Gomez, has been charged with second-degree cruelty to children.

He is currently in the Hall County Jail where his bond has been set at $9,600.

The home is a complete loss.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
