HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. — The locks will come off for the last time at Graceland Too, an Elvis Presley shrine and attraction, as it’s sold to the highest bidder this weekend.

“It’s definitely going to be a change in spirits around here, Dwight Harris, chief of police in Holly Springs, said. “Just to know that Graceland Too will no longer be here in Holly Springs is going to have a tremendous effect on a lot of people.”

Nearly everything at the estate is being sold, including the house, land, and all contents inside.

Bidders will be able to by nearly 300 Elvis albums, memorabilia, and Graceland Too’s famous pink Cadillac.

“To see these things leave out of here…I’ve done, you know, countless tours and to know it’s no longer going to be there, I can no longer knock on Paul’s door…Yes. It’s definitely,” Harris said.

All of the items belonged to Graceland Too’s owner, Paul MacLeod, who died at the home last year. MacLeod’s death came one day after he shot and killed a man, who police said broke into the house.

Crime tape from the death investigation was still visible at the house Monday.

“It’s sad. The whole situation was sad, the whole ordeal. The whole community felt the effects of it,” Harris said.

The live auction will be at the house on Saturday, January 31 at 10 a.m. A preview showcase of the items will be Friday between 1 and 5 p.m.

People who knew MacLeod and his passion for Elvis hope, even though, the stuff will be gone, the memory of Graceland Too will live.

“I’m sure that Paul and Graceland Too will forever go down and be a part of Holly Springs history,” Harris said.
