MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Businessman Mark Giannini was indicted on Thursday on new charges of bribery and coercion of a witness.

According to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, a Grand Jury indicted him on one count of bribery of a witness, one count of attempted bribery of a witness and one count of coercion of a witness.

Authorities said over the past couple of months, the defendant paid a woman thousands of dollars to bribe, entrap and coerce one of the victims to get the charges against him dropped.

A bond hearing is set for Friday.

Giannini was previously out on a $3 million bond, but that bond was revoked when these new allegations came to light.

The 50-year-old is accused of raping three women in 2014, 2013, and 2002.

Two of the alleged victims worked for him while the third was interviewing for a job.
