(Memphis) A CBS Sports writer was so impressed by the actions of Grizzlies mascot, Grizz, he wrote a national piece on cbssports.com.
The Grizzlies had just lost when Gregg Doyel felt tugging on his arm.
Sitting behind him was a girl in tears about the loss.
He said the girl wasn’t interested in any of the players, she only wanted to see Grizz.
It’s what happened after, that spurred him to write about his experience.
