(Memphis) An unloaded gun was found at a Shelby County High School Tuesday.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies received a tip a student was on campus with a handgun.

Deputies found a 16-year-old student with a .22 caliber revolver in his backpack along with .22 caliber ammunition.

The student was taken to Juvenile Court and charged with Carrying a Weapon on School Property.
