HBO/Cinemax Show Filming In The Mid-South

Ready for your close-up?

Quarry, an HBO/Cinemax TV show, begins its 13 days of filming in the Horn Lake area and in Memphis on July 22nd.

Hundreds of extras, of all ages, types and ethnicities, are needed to work on the pilot episode. Extras will be paid, and no previous experience is necessary.

You must live in the Memphis or Southaven area to be an extra.

The project especially needs:

– Older men and women, especially Caucasian & African American, ages 40 to 80
– Cars or pickup trucks (1964 to 1973), any color (must be drivable); not necessary that vehicles are completely restored

If you want a chance to be an extra, email three recent photos to quarryextra@gmail.com. The casting crew needs to be able to see your face and your hair from the front and back. Also include your height, weight, age, all clothing sizes, shoe size and your telephone number.

The production department also needs an experienced “locals” crew. Anyone interested should send a resume to quarrypilotjobs@gmail.com.

Quarry, based on a series of novels by Max Allan Collins, is set in the 1970s and focuses on a Marine sniper named Quarry.

Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, 24, The OC, Dark Blue) will play Quarry, who is shunned by his family and the American public when he returns from Vietnam. He is then recruited into a network of corrupted killers.

Stellan Skarsgard (Thor, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) is co-starring. Other cast members include Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Die Hard, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World), Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones) and Skip Sudduth (The Good Wife). John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Road) is directing.

Quarry is a client of The Memphis & Shelby County Film and Television Commission, The Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission and The Mississippi Film Office.
