Health Department issues Code Orange for parts of the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  The Shelby County Health Department, The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, the Arkansas Department of Health and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality have issued a Code Orange Air Quality Advisory.

This means the area in the Memphis Metropolitan area has become unhealthy for sensitive groups.

The advisory includes Shelby County, Crittenden County, and Desoto County.

It will also remain active until late into Wednesday evening.

If you have respiratory issues, you are advised to limit the amount the amount of time you spend outdoors today.
