MEMPHIS — Extreme heat and humidity could pose a danger to people throughout the Mid-South this weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory until 7 p.m. Sunday.
Temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s will combine with high humidity to create a heat index of between 103 and 108 degrees.
Be sure to drink plenty of water, stay indoors when possible and wear light clothing.
Bring pets inside when possible and ensure they have plenty of water and shade when outdoors. Try to keep them away from especially hot surfaces such as pavement.
Check on the elderly and use your air conditioning.
