(Memphis) Santa’s come early this year in the form of a job for the millions of Americans looking for work. 

Several, national retailers have made announcements regarding seasonal hiring, which is expected to pick up from last year.

Wal-Mart announced Friday it plans to add more than 50,000 holiday workers, plus offer additional hours to existing employees. 

Officials with Target confirmed with WREG that it plans to hire 80,000-90,000 seasonal workers.  Hiring at distribution centers started in July and store hiring will begin in October. 

Kohl’s is hiring more than 52,000 seasonal workers at its stores, plus another 5,700 at distribution centers.  Click here for more information about applying for one of the Kohl’s jobs.

Macy’s has posted information on its website about holiday hiring as well.  It says potential applicants should enter “holiday” as the key word, plus their city and state to search for seasonal jobs in their area.

Toys-R-Us hasn’t announced plans for holiday hiring for 2012.  Last year the retailer hired more than 40,000 seasonal employees.  A spokesperson says they should have information available soon.
