HORN LAKE, Miss. — Horn Lake has made the cut as one of the top 10 best cities for African-Americans.
The list was compiled by Livability.com.
The site says Horn Lake’s explosive growth of African-American residents is likely due to the city’s prime location and affordability. Horn Lake’s income gap and poverty rate for African-Americans are among the lowest of the cities on this list.
Horn Lake came in at number eight on the list.
Tallahassee, Florida, topped the list at number one. La Vergne, Tennessee, located in the Nashville metro area, came in at number six. And Frankfort, Kentucky, rounds out the list at number 10.
