Munford, Tenn. — WREG has just learned human remains were recovered in Tipton County.
Investigators tell us the bones, including a skull, was discovered Tuesday by two children in a wooded area.
Tuesday’s overnight storms forced detectives to stop their efforts until the next morning.
Police examined the scene, until severe weather once again halted efforts around 4:30 pm.
They will return to the scene Thursday.
So far the remains have not been identified.
