(Memphis) A big milestone for a Catholic school in Midtown Memphis.

Immaculate Conception Cathedral School is celebrating its 90th anniversary.

Today, some alumnae celebrated with current students.

They toured the school and then launched balloons.

I.C. is one of the city’s oldest existing schools.

The Sisters of Mercy founded the elementary school in 1922, and the following year added a coed high school that later became an all-girl school.

The school’s anniversary comes just a year after its parish, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated its 90th anniversary.
