(Memphis) Many Americans who filed their income taxes early are still waiting for their refund.

There are delays of up to six months for those who claimed education credits on form
8863.

In March, the agency said several tax software providers wrongly filed more than 600,000 returns containing this form.

The IRS did not say how many of these filers still haven’t received their refunds.
