MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  One person was taken to the hospital following an overnight robbery and shooting on Jackson Avenue.

Witnesses say a man in a food truck was parked outside a Mexican grocery store in the 4100 block of Jackson Avenue when he was robbed by a man who approached on foot and grazed by a bullet around 1 a.m. Monday, August 5.

The individual was transported  Methodist Hospital North. He is expected to be okay.

A SUV that was towed from the scene had at least two bullet holes in it. Police say the robber is in his thirties and is about 5-feet 10-inches. He was wearing a white shirt with a black shirt across his face.
