MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County employee who works in jail maintenance was arrested Sunday and charged with sexual battery.

Michael Harber, 65, was suspended without pay from his job, Shelby County officials confirmed.

He posted bond Monday, according to court records.

According to an affidavit, the complaint against Harber involves a teen and allegedly took place Friday afternoon. It did not happen while he was at the jail.
