(Jackson, TN) A job fair will be held Friday in Jackson for veterans and members of the National Guard.
Maj. Gen. Max Haston, who is Tennessee’s Adjutant General, is hosting the fair, which will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Jackson. It is located at 1510 Hwy. 70 Bypass.
The event is open to National Guard members, reservists, veterans and their spouses.
“The military is like a big family,” said Maj. Gen. Haston, in a news release. “We’re all taught to look out for our buddies, and hosting Job Fairs for our military families is one way of doing exactly that. Some service members have returned from Iraq or Afghanistan to find the place where they used to work is no longer in business, and now they’re out there looking. We’re trying to help them every way we can.”
Several major employers will have representatives at the event, including Delta Faucet, Kilgore Flares, and Mitsubishi Electric.
