LITTLE ROCK — A federal judge has heard arguments and is now considering whether to block one of Arkansas’ newest abortion laws from going into effect Friday.
Planned Parenthood and the state presented their side in court on Wednesday, but Judge Kristine Baker didn’t give a ruling, reported THV11.
WREG reported the new law would limit how abortion pills are administered throughout the state.
The law would force providers to follow FDA guidelines.
In addition, they would have to have a contract with another physician at a local hospital who has admitting privileges and has agreed to handle any complications that arise.
Planned Parenthood said this would restrict them from providing the pill in their facilities.
