DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — A judge has ruled Shelby County prosecutor Jennifer Nichols will remain on the Holly Bobo case.

Nichols is the third prosecutor since Holly Bobo was murdered in 2011.

The first prosecutor lost his bid for reelection, then his successor recused himself from the case, at which time Nichols was appointed.

A defense attorney had challenged Nichols being appointed to the case.

A defense attorney for Jason Autry has said Nichols must turn over evidence in the case immediately.

The judge will now have to decide on that and other motions June 3.
