QUITMAN COUNTY, Miss. — The jury has been selected for the trial of the man accused of murdering Clarksdale mayoral candidate Marco McMillian in 2013.

Lawrence Reed was indicted on murder charges by a grand jury in the death of McMillian.

The judge in the case ordered the trial be moved to Quitman County.

That’s where McMillian was allegedly killed before police found his body dumped in Coahoma County.

More than two dozen people have been subpoenaed for the prosecution and one witness for the defense.
