HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Police take threats against their own seriously, and that landed Hopkinsville resident Marvin Gee in hot water.

Gee, 44, is accused of having posted a Craigslist listing that solicited and encouraged the murder of police officers, according to CBS affiliate KFVS.

Kentucky State Police arrested Gee on Friday for the post. He was charged with solicitation for murder of a police officer.

Gee is being held on a $500,000 bond.

The Kentuckian’s arrest came just one day before the fatal shooting of Memphis Police Officer Sean Bolton.
