Kentucky woman charged with theft from Obion County bank

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Kentucky woman turned herself into authorities on Friday after being indicted for stealing thousands from her former employer.

According to the TBI, the agency was asked to open an investigation after a vault audit discovered a discrepancy in the amount of cash at the Farmers Bank in Woodland Mills.

During the investigation, it was discovered that April Dee Choate had been stealing from the company from September 2007 to July 2015.

On Tuesday, the Obion County Grand Jury returned an indictment for theft of over $60,000.

She was booked in Obion County Jail but set free after paying her $25,000 bond.
