MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Four people, including a mother and daughter, were injured during an overnight shooting at a northeast Memphis lounge.

At 1:21 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at 5560 Shelby Oaks Drive, where Focuz Lounge is located.

Focuz Lounge.

When they arrived, they saw several people in the parking lot yelling that someone was shot in the ladies’ bathroom.

Officers found the first victim in the ladies restroom with a gunshot wound to the left butt cheek. An officer applied pressure to the wound and checked to see if the victim had any other gunshot wounds.

While the officer was rendering aid, they were told that the victim’s daughter was also grazed in the left upper thigh. The mother and daughter were taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.

Additional officers came to the scene from surrounding precincts and located two more victims.

A third victim walked up to an officer while outside and told them he was shot in the left butt cheek. The fourth victim was shot in the left foot and was brought inside the business for medical attention.

Officers located several shell casings in the rear parking lot and determined that the casings were from different caliber weapons.

Officers were shown video footage by one of the owners of Focuz Lounge of an incident that took place between 1:14 a.m. and 1:17 a.m.

In it, they saw a man wearing a black and white True Religion shirt, black shorts, and black and white Jordans running from the front of the club appearing to try to take cover for safety.

Officers then saw a man wearing a black shirt and dark-colored jeans walk in the same direction as the unknown victim, pull out an unknown handgun, and start shooting in the direction of the victim.

The victim retrieved an unknown black firearm from the front seat of a 2013 Gray Kia Optima and returned shots.

Officers noticed that while the suspect and the victim were firing shots at one another, two more suspects started firing several shots toward the victim, who was taking cover behind cars in the parking lot.

The suspects were occupying a white Dodge Charger with damages to the rear passenger bumper with a dark tint and black rims.

The suspects and the victim fled the scene in an unknown direction. Memphis Police say there was a fourth person with the suspect who may have information about the shooting.

In the video footage, officers say the unknown victim appeared to have been shot, but officers could not confirm the information due to “negative contact” with the individual.

Officers say there were no eye-witnesses to the crime, but came in contact with three on-duty armed security officers. They also spoke with the owners of Focuz Lounge who were on the scene but did not witness the incident.

Officers found bullet holes inside the business near the northwest side of the building. Some of the bullet holes could be seen from the outside patio area.

They physically cleared the building to ensure no other victims were inside that weren’t accounted for.

No one was detained or taken into custody.

Officers requested dispatch to check all local hospitals to see if any other gunshot victims showed up. Per dispatch, no additional victims showed up at any local hospitals.
