MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Students at one Shelby County School were in for a treat on Wednesday.
That’s because WREG’s Melissa Moon stopped by for national Read Across America Day.
The occasion is every year on March 2, which happens to be the birthday of the late Dr. Seuss.
Melissa read “Cat in the Hat” and “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” to a group of first graders at Sheffield Elementary.
National Read Across America Day was created by the National Education Association to encourage children and teens to read.
