MEMPHIS, Miss. — A Hickory Hill man was arrested after he beat his girlfriend so badly he knocked her out.
Emanuel Brooks was charged with aggravated assault.
According to Memphis Police, the two were arguing over a call he received from another woman.
Brooks then reportedly began hitting his girlfriend across the face, causing a fracture to one of her eyes.
He even threatened to kill her.
Police were called to the home by the woman’s own child.
When they arrived, the victim was unconscious.
Since then she has undergone surgery and is expected to be okay.
