MEMPHIS, Tenn. — At least one person is injured after an overnight shooting at a gas station in Fox Meadows and an apartment complex in Frayser.
According to Memphis Police, just before 3 a.m., officers responded to the first shooting at the Marathon Gas Station at 3156 South Mendenhall Road.
The store clerk says a victim was shot in the leg and was on the side of the gas station before he lost sight of him.
That is when officers say they found the victims in a black Audi on Knight Arnold Road and Estes Street. The victim told police he was in a verbal argument with two unknown males and thought they were going to rob them. He claims he was shot when he attempted to leave the scene.
According to police, the victim kept giving conflicting statements so it is unclear what happened during the incident. But this is still an ongoing investigation.
The victim was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.

Officers say they were called to the Ridgecrest Apartments in Frayser at 2570 Woodcliff Drive around 3:50 a.m. regarding shots being fired.
No one was found shot, but officers did find shell casings at the scene.
On Saturday, officers also responded to the same complex regarding several males armed with handguns and high-powered rifles around 5 p.m.
When officers arrived at the complex, they said they saw a Dodge Challenger with a missing rearview mirror and fake temporary drive-out tags leaving the scene. A traffic stop was initiated at that time.
The Challenger then sped out of the complex, immediately wrecking into a telephone pole before two males got out and ran.
After a short foot pursuit, police say both males were taken into custody.
Officers say they ran the Challenger’s VIN and it was reported stolen. They also say they found a Glock 19 Gen 5 and a Glock 22 .40 in the vehicle. The Glock 22 was reported stolen and the Glock 19 had an automatic machine gun conversion device making the gun fully automatic.
