MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man and a woman are dead after a car crash on Interstate 40 Friday night, Memphis Police confirm.
Officers say they responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-40 near Whitten Road around 11:10 p.m. Four people were found suffering from injuries due to the wreck.
A man was taken to Baptist East in critical condition, where he later died. A woman was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, where police say she was also pronounced dead.
Another woman was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, and another man was taken to Methodist University in non-critical condition.
At this time, it is still unclear what caused the crash, but this is still an ongoing investigation.
