MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police say a 70-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man were found stabbed outside of a soup kitchen in the Medical District on Sunday night.

Memphis Police say officers responded to the Saint Vincent DePaul Food Mission on Monroe Avenue at around 9:18 p.m.

According to police, the man and the woman were both taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Memphis Police say no suspect information is available at this time but this is still an ongoing investigation.

The Saint Vincent DePaul Food Mission released a statement Monday afternoon, saying:

We are shocked that this has happened and our prayers are with the victims for healing of mind and body. Due to this being an ongoing investigation, we have no comment at this time.
