MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 19-year-old woman is facing a list of charges following a carjacking that led to a shooting earlier this month.

The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting on January 4 at Chuck Avenue and Wingate Cove, where two women and two men allegedly carjacked two victims and stole their wallets.

One of the men then shot one of the victims in the leg as he was running away.

According to an affidavit, one of the victims told police that he was in contact with a woman who had texted him a location for the two of them to meet.

On January 15, the woman allegedly admitted to planning the carjacking with Sheyla Millian. Police say the shooting victim later identified Millian in a photo line-up as one of the women responsible for the carjacking.

Millian, 19, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with Criminal Attempt First Degree Murder, two counts of Aggravated Robbery, two counts of carjacking, and two counts of Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony. Her bond was set at $200,000.

The alleged shooter was arrested on January 15 and identified as 20-year-old Alexander Moreno.

Moreno is also facing kidnapping charges in connection to a robbery and kidnapping on the same night, just an hour before the carjacking and shooting took place.

It happened at a residence in the 3900 block of Mamie Avenue. Police said three men and a woman were held up at gunpoint by two males and two females armed with AK-47 weapons.

One of the victims said he was also supposed to meet a woman for a date.

Investigators said the number he had been texting belonged to the same woman who admitted to planning the carjacking. So far, she has not been charged.

Moreno is being held on a $750,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
