MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three people from Memphis were arrested Thursday night in Collierville in connection to theft cases in Collierville and across Shelby County.
It happened outside the Academy sporting goods store in the 200 block of New Byhalia Road.
Collierville police said night shift officers and members of the Special Enforcement Unit detained two men in a black Scion sedan and apprehended a female suspect inside the store, with merchandise from the store concealed in a bag.
Police also seized two handguns, one AR-style pistol, $10,450, 25.5 grams of marijuana, and the Scion.

CPD has not released the names of the suspects but says all three were charged with three counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and possession of a controlled substance with intent.
The female suspect also faces additional charges of theft of property and possession of shoplifting tools.
