MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An man and child were taken to the hospital after being involved in a shooting in Raleigh Tuesday morning.

According to MPD, officers responded to a shooting call in the 3100 block of Homewood a little before 3:30 a.m. Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The child was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for minor injuries, officials say.

When WREG arrived, we noticed a car near a driveway that had crashed and flipped. The homeowner says she didn’t know a car had crashed in her yard. MPD says they believe the victim crashed after being shot while driving.
