MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people are under arrest after drugs and a pill bottle full of urine were found in a baby’s bag.
According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force, agents from the 28th District out of Milan conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Thursday. Two adults and a baby were inside.
Agents reportedly searched the vehicle and found 20 fentanyl pills, marijuana, and a pill bottle full of “clean” urine, gotten from someone who does not use narcotics, inside the baby’s bag next to the baby’s toys.
The pair, who have not been identified, were arrested and charged with felony and misdemeanor drug charges. One of the suspects is also reportedly charged with falsification of a drug test.
The West Tennessee Drug Task Force says that one of the suspects was currently on probation out of Madison County and had an active arrest warrant.
They have also been charged with child endangerment. The West Tennessee Drug Task Force says the baby was turned over to a relative.
