MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Focuz Lounge announced it would be closed for a few weeks to add security and repair damages after four people were shot at the establishment.
On August 4, officers responded to a shooting at the club at 5560 Shelby Oaks Drive. Four people, including a mother and daughter, were shot.
Police say the suspects were driving a white Dodge Charger with damages to the rear passenger bumper with a dark tint and rims.

On August 5, the lounge released a statement, saying it was deeply saddened by what happened.
“Focuz Lounge is dedicated to providing a family-friendly environment and hosting events that foster a happier Memphis,” the club’s statement said.
The business also made it clear that there were no weapons inside except for those carried by security for safety purposes. They said the shooting took place in the parking lot.
Because of the incident, the lounge says it has installed “advanced surveillance systems.”
To ensure security, the company will close its doors for a few weeks to “implement additional measures and repair any damage done.”

The business says it’s doubling its reward for any information leading to the suspects’ arrest. However, the reward amount is unclear.
