MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, which means it’s time to look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend. There is something for everyone.
St. Patrick’s Day is on Monday, but all the fun is happening this weekend leading up to the green holiday.
Friday night, there will be a blessing of the kegs at the Brass Door along Madison Avenue at 6 p.m.
Saturday at 2 p.m. is the 52nd annual Silky Sullivan St. Patrick’s Parade.
On Sunday, Cooper Young is hosting its parade at 4 p.m. All of these events are free.
Friday at 5 p.m., Buff City Soap invites you to its bath bomb making class. Tickets are $35, including 5 mini bath bombs and light refreshments.
Enjoy the weekend before the kids go back to school on Monday.
On Saturday, Memphis Parks is hosting its Spring Break Activation at Mud Island Park from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be a live DJ, free food, and a football torunament.
Plus, the winner of the tournament will receive a PlayStation portal. This event is free.
Also, on Saturday, indulge in self-care and practice mindfulness at the Orange Mound Community Center from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
There will be yoga sessions, nutrition classes, and free smoothies at this free event.
After that, you and the family can learn more about the soul of Memphis at the Stax Museum for its March Family Day.
This month includes special programming celebrating women’s history month. Admission is free from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Germantown Community Theatre invites you to hear the sounds of The Slainte Singers from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tickets are $20.
