OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — The girlfriend of the man charged with firing shots at an Olive Branch Police officer has been arrested, officials say.
Sarah Skriver has been charged with being an Accessory After the Fact. Desoto County District Attorney Matthew Burton said, “She was helpful to him and hindered law enforcement.”
According to the DA’s Public Information Officer, Skriver is set to appear in court on Tuesday. Her bond is set at $150,000.

Colby Alan Towles was captured by US Marshals near the Bass Pro Angler’s Lodge Hotel in Springfield, Missouri Monday right before 5 p.m., according to our sister station KOLR.
Towles also had a child with him. The child is now safe.
The Olive Branch Police Department says Towles will face charges regarding the officer-involved shooting that took place early Monday morning.
Officials say Towles approached a traffic stop and began yelling at police. He then drove off, made a U-turn, and fired shots at them.
WREG talked to some of the couple’s neighbors who said they were shocked to see him on the news. “We never had any trouble with them but they have been kind of to themselves,” one resident told us.
Towles did not cause any problems in the neighborhood but Barton told us this is not his first run-in with the law.
He had misdemeanors going back to 2007.
“He had a hit-and-run,” said Barton. “He was a juvenile but he was charged as an adult. The next year, in 2008, he had a simple assault. In 2012, he had a couple of traffic violations. “
Now, he could be facing a felony charge. “He is now being charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer. I think it’s important that we don’t rule out the possibility of changing that. As we finish looking at all the facts and working out the details we may charge him with attempted murder,” said Barton.
