MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a driver who tried to help a man who forced his way into his truck was carjacked and pushed out of his vehicle Saturday afternoon.
MPD said the victim was at a red light at Frayser Boulevard and Millington Street when a man grabbed his passenger side door and then pushed down a window to get inside.
The victim said the man told him someone was trying to kill him. He said when the man crawled through his window, he told him he would take him to his house.

The victim said before he turned onto his street, the suspect grabbed his steering wheel, punched him on the side of his head, and pushed him out of his F-150 truck at Frayser and Ridgecrest.
The 2007 red Ford F-150 was later spotted on a Flock camera southbound on Thomas and Firestone, but police are still looking for the suspect.
Investigators have released pictures of the suspect, who is seen wearing a black cap and a yellow and black Nike hoodie, standing next to a red vehicle. They have also released a video of the suspect trying to enter a locked building.
A firefighter with Firestation 26 said he witnessed the suspect jump into the passenger side of the victim’s truck on Frayser Boulevard.
The victim said the carjacker also got his cell phone and Tarus Millennial 9mm handgun.
