MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping several young girls in Covington.

Ja’Marreous McKinnis, 20, has been charged with rape of a child. He is set to appear in Tipton County General Sessions Court on March 11.

On Nov. 4, 2024, the Covington Police Department received a complaint regarding sexual assault occurring within the city limits of Covington.

Police investigated the complaint, which revealed multiple potential victims across Tipton County. Police say the victims were girls between the ages of 12 and 15.

During the investigation, the victims identified the suspect from his social media nickname as “Bando” and other variations as “BXNDO.”

On Mar. 7, CPD had an arrest warrant out for Ja’Marrous McKinnis, confirming he was on out-of-state probation for an alleged weapon charge.
