MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Neighbors in a Cordova neighborhood are on edge after a man tried to break into a home on Wednesday.

In the video, the man can be seen using a handgun to knock a video doorbell off of the door at the 8100 block of Walnut Valley Cove. He then kicked the residence’s door multiple times trying to break into the home.

In the process it appears the gun clip breaks causing bullets to scatter across the front porch.

The suspect then leaves in a black vehicle from the residence after being unsuccessful.

Before the suspect tried breaking into this home, he knocked on another neighbor’s door. She said her dogs ran the suspect off. At the time, her daughter was home.

“I’m blessed that my daughter was not hurt,” she said. “And you know, that didn’t end worse than it did. I’m just thankful that it was like the incident of Raleigh with my former classmate.”

Her daughter believes a total of three people may have been involved in the attempted burglary.

No arrests have been made at this time.

If you have any information about the suspect or the incident, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH. Your identification will remain anonymous.

If an arrest is made, you could be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
