MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was critically injured after a shooting at a Tops BBQ at Summer and National on Tuesday.
Memphis Police say they responded to the restaurant at 3353 Summer Avenue just before 4 p.m. A male victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was then taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
MPD says the suspect is a man in a gray truck. This is still an ongoing investigation.
Tops BBQ released the following statement,
“Our Tops Summer/National location is closed for the remainder of the evening out of respect for our employees and to allow the Memphis Police Department to continue conducting its investigation. We extend our deepest appreciation to the first responders who were quick to arrive and ensured the safety of those on the property and administered care to the wounded. We are cooperating fully with the Memphis Police Department in the ongoing investigation.”
