MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was found shot to death in a South Memphis park Sunday morning, Memphis Police say.
According to reports, officers responded to the shooting at 99 Ila Lane in Belz Park at 8:10 a.m. Police say a man was found with gunshot wounds, lying on the basketball court at the park. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
“See, this is a park where kids play at. The kids play here every day all day,” said a man living nearby.
Memphis police say the victim was already deceased when they arrived, and the shooting did not happen at the park.
There is no suspect information available at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
