Onterio Williams said he was riding his bike near Richmond Avenue and Driver Street when Abraham told him he wanted his Schwinn bicycle and began beating him with the golf club.

Williams said Abraham also threatened him with a gun and took his bike, $64, and his New York Yankees ball cap.

“We fought maybe ten minutes, I’m not sure,” said Williams. “He got the golf club. I blocked the first one with my wrist, and It still hurts.”

He said Abraham also swung the golf club at his head and legs.

“After he hit me on the knee, that is when I went on down,” Williams said.

Abraham has a lengthy criminal record. Court records show, in 2016, he was convicted of robbery, and in 2012, he was charged with assault for allegedly hitting a woman on the head with the butt of a gun inside a convenience store.

Williams, who cuts hair for a living, was glad to hear Abraham had been arrested.

He said there may be one positive thing that came out of the ordeal. He said the injury to his head appeared to have changed his vision.

“I can see a little bit better,” Williams said. “When I’m cutting hair, it doesn’t shake as much as it was.”

Abraham is scheduled to appear in court on a charge of aggravated robbery on Monday.
