MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is now behind bars after police say he fired shots at a woman and child inside a Mud Island apartment earlier this month.
Kendan Harris, 26, is charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
On February 2, officers say they responded to a shots-fired call at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Natchez Point around 11:15 a.m.
A woman told police that she and a man got into a verbal argument while they were standing the the front room of the apartment.
That is when the man is accused of pulling out a gun and firing three to four shots at the woman. The woman grabbed the child who was also present in the home and left to call the police for safety, according to reports.
Officers say they found three bullet holes in the wall along with three shell casings in the home. They went to nearby apartments to make sure no one was struck during the shooting.
No injuries were reported.
Kendan Harris was identified from a previous report. He was booked into jail on Tuesday and has yet to receive a bond.
Harris is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning.
