MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after police say he was shot to death overnight in Orange Mound.

Officers say around 11:45 p.m., they were called to a shooting in the 1000 block of Ethel Street, where a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

After further investigation, police say preliminary information indicates that the victim knew the suspect.

No additional information on the suspect has been released at this time. But this is still an ongoing investigation.
