MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 34-year-old Memphis man was convicted Wednesday on several charges including child rape.

David Pruett was found guilty on the charges of rape of a child, especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Officials with the district attorney’s office said Pruett photographed a minor performing a sexual act in 2019. The images were found on a hard drive, they said.

A jail informant disclosed the location of Pruett’s hard drive to authorities.

Records show Pruett was indicted by a grand jury in 2022. He faces sentencing on the charges Sept. 16.
