MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A large group of men used a saw to break into the warehouse of a delivery company earlier this month, getting away with over $250,000 in prescription drugs.
The Memphis Police Department is now searching for suspects in the February 16 heist.
Just after 2 a.m., approximately 10 men used a portable red Milwaukee saw to cut into the back door of Hackbarth Delivery Services at East Brooks Road and Tranquility Dive.
The suspects reportedly stole multiple totes of prescription drugs and related products from the warehouse, returning several times between 2 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. They stole additional items with each return trip.
The suspects were seen in five different vehicles — a maroon SUV; a black, single-cab pickup truck; a gray sedan; a black SUV; and a silver coupe.
Police say two of the 10 suspects were wearing black jackets with “security” written in white across the front and back.

At around 2:51 a.m., after the suspects left the warehouse during one of their trips, two separate suspects, a man and a woman, were seen walking into the warehouse from across the street. They waited until the initial group of men left before they entered.

Police say they saw the man and woman while responding to an alarm at the business, but the suspects ran from officers and were not found.
In total, over $250,000 in prescription drugs is estimated to have been stolen during the heist. Police say the pharmaceuticals illegal drugs.
