CORDOVA, Tenn. — Memphis police say a student at Riverwood Optional Elementary was injured during an incident at the Cordova school Wednesday.
Officers responded to a wounding call in the 1300 block of Stern Road around 11:30 a.m.
MPD has not released details about what happened, but said an 8-year-old boy was transported to Baptist East Pediatrics in non-critical condition.
They said a 9-year-old boy was issued a juvenile summons. Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
