MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was shot Saturday night in Parkway Village.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 5900 block of Park Avenue around 8:15 p.m. when they found out the victim was shot in the 3900 block of Camelot Avenue.

The woman told police her boyfriend, Jamarrion Anderson, 19, also punched the woman in the head before the shooting.

As the woman tried running away, the teen grabbed an assault-style rifle and fired. The first shot missed the woman, but detectives said the teen shot again, hitting the victim in the face.

The woman was taken to the hospital by a private car in critical condition. WREG later found out the victim was still being treated for a partially collapsed lung.

Anderson was charged with attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault, domestic assault and reckless endangerment.

Although Anderson did not have a lot to say in court, his bond spoke volumes at $100,000. He is set to face a judge again on May 26.
